My Story

I am a dedicated artist specialising in abstract expressionism, born in Tipperary, Ireland. My artistic journey is fuelled by a deep connection to my surroundings, particularly the Irish lake of Lough Derg, and the influential works of abstract expressionist pioneers like Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Damien Hirst. Drawing from my life experiences and emotions, I craft distinctive and emotive paintings.

Characterised by vibrant hues, expressive brushwork, and a palpable raw energy, my art employs thick layers of paint, drips, and splashes to construct a dynamic and textured canvas. Themes of emotion, spirituality, and the human condition are recurrent in my work.

Situated on the shores of Lough Derg in the heart of Ireland, Derg Arts studio is my creative sanctuary. The ever-changing landscape, serene waters, and rugged hills of the lake inspire my artistic endeavours. Against this tranquil backdrop, my paintings exude a contrasting vitality.

My artistic signature lies in the originality, energy, and emotional depth of my creations. Fuelled by a profound love for art and a commitment to creativity, I strive to produce expressive and thought-provoking works that resonate and inspire others
